Let’s talk … about Mark!: ‘Mark’s call to discipleship in five distinct stages’.

The Lent group explored and discussed the Gospel of St Mark.

There are five sessions on the five Wednesdays in Lent, during which a passage of the Gospel will be read. After this, we will then discuss its main theme, as we follow Mark’s progression of ideas from the beginning of his ministry to the final week in Jerusalem.

Led by Jim Mein, there will be set prayers at the beginning and end, with strict time keeping being kept!

This will be good for anyone wanting to know a bit more about the distinctiveness of Christianity. It really is offered for everyone, perhaps especially if you have never been to a Bible study before! Friends from other churches, and none, are also very welcome.

The readings are:

Wednesday:

4th March: Mark 1.1 to 4.41,

11th March: Mark 5.1 to 8.31,

18th March: Mark 8.31 to 10.52,

25th March: Mark 11.1 to 14.52,

1st April: Mark 14.53 to end.
