Sunday 13th December: 10.45am / Thursday 17th December: 11am: Advent 3

The service for Advent 3 is based around Isaiah 61: 1-4, 8-11 and John 1: 6-8, 19-28.

Our Rector, Rev Nick Wills, preaches on this passage about John the Baptist, the focus of the Third Sunday of Advent. And about that annoying bloke from the Asda adverts. But mostly about John the Baptist.

The hymn during the Communion, ‘On Jordan’s bank the Baptist’s cry announces that the Lord is nigh’ is sung solo by Christine Sharp, and the Intercessions are led by our Associate Priest, Rev Sue Whitehouse.
