All are very welcome to our friendly Craft Group for Adults! While working on a craft, we enjoy a cuppa and convivial chat, covering all sorts of random topics. Sessions are not currently on a regular basis, but they will all be advertised here. You are very welcome to bring a friend too.
Our next session is on Wednesday 19th February, 2025: 10am-12 noon – Working with felt.
If you plan to come to a session, to help ensure there are enough materials and catering please let Laura know. Email: development@stpetersedinburgh.org
It is run in association with Interfaith Edinburgh, and we thank them for their support.
For information about future craft sessions, please email: development@stpetersedinburgh.org
How did these sessions start? Between January and June 2023, St Peter’s, together with Edinburgh Interfaith, set up a very successful Befriending Craft Sessions for 6 months. This was something of an extension of our previous craft club, in which people brought along their personal projects and “put the world to rights” over tea and craft!
To start with, there was usually one craft session per month, with the option of a craft activity (or your own project), a cuppa and good conversation. Edinburgh Interfaith worked with some local organisations to refer individuals who were in need of social connection.
Activities have included Exotic birds out of clay, Mandala Art, Pressed Flower Lanterns, Clay Pinch Pots, Origami Flowers, Mosaic Art, Bookmark Weaving, making lavender bags from lavender in the church garden, and Christmas Crafts. Great fun is had by all who attend!
