Come join us for two new Befriending sessions of crafts, coffee and chat in St Peter’s church hall on Wednesday 4th October! We will meet from 10am-12 noon. 4th October will be a chance to finish or make previous projects. Don’t worry if you are out of practice or have never made things before. We will all learn together and share skills.
Please confirm your attendance with Laura; development@stpeteredinburgh.org or leave a message on the office phone 0131 563 8198.
All are welcome, bring a friend. Supported by Interfaith.
How did these sessions start? Between January and June 2023, St Peter’s, together with Edinburgh Interfaith, set up a very successful Befriending Craft Sessions for 6 months. This was something of an extension of our previous craft club, in which people brought along their personal projects and “put the world to rights” over tea and craft!
There was one craft session per month, with the option of a craft activity (or your own project), a cuppa and good conversation. Edinburgh Interfaith worked with some local organisations to refer individuals who were in need of social connection.
The activities were Mandala Art, Pressed Flower Lanterns, Clay Pinch Pots, Origami Flowers, Mosaic Art, Bookmark Weaving and making lavender bags from lavender in the church garden. Great fun was had by all who attended.
We are delighted that two more sessions have now been arranged!
