The top section of the Water of Leith from Balerno to Slateford. (Walk co-ordinator, Roddy Simson)
This walk will take approximately 2-3 hours, and there are lots of opportunities to join or leave the walk along the way. We will meet at 10.30am. (Lothian bus Number 44 bus will take you from Princes Street to the start of the walk. Get off at the stop by Balerno High School. Walk back the way the bus came for 100 meters and the path is on the same side of the road. (It is possible to park a car further up the road towards Balerno village.)
Bring a packed lunch and if anyone wants to go beyond Slateford that could be an open possibility.
