We are very grateful to the National Churches Trust who, along with the Wolfson Foundation and National Lottery Heritage Fund are helping with the cost of repairing our beautiful roof. At some point, water got in at a joint between the roof and the tower. This set off a case of dry rot in the timber roof. Although the roof was patched up, we now need to cut out and replace the infested timbers. The timbers are all obscure retro sized douglas fir that came on a special order. Once the new timbers are in a specialist decorator stenciller will recreate the pattern on the sarking and trusses.
