Meeting outside the Hawes Inn in South Queensferry, we start under the iconic railway bridge. Travelling West along the Firth of Forth passing Long Craig Pier, Barnbougle Castle, Dalmeny House, we will end up close to the site of the old Cramond ferry. Then following the road which will take us to Cramond Bridge, we can catch a bus or take a short walk to Barnton where there is a better  selection of buses on offer.

The planned walk is about 8km and we will be following the John Muir Way.

Bring a picnic lunch as there are lovely sandy beaches where we can relax and enjoy a sandwich and a flask of coffee.
